The route starts on the road to Marce, on a curve with a sign marking the start of the trail. Take the path that goes down between the grove of trees. After walking downwards for about 1 kilometre, you will have two options: to take the trail that leads to the Augacaída Waterfall, or to continue in the direction of the Castro de Marce site. This is one of the highest waterfalls in Galicia, and the trail leading down to it is the most difficult part of the route. Fortunately, some wooden walkways have now been installed to make the descent easier.

Along the trail you will see some remains of the local rural architecture, such as shelters for livestock, but the most interesting is the Castro de Marce site. This ancient Castro culture settlement is at the top of a small hill, from which there are some spectacular views of the Miño River.
