The Reforestando Castiñeiro, Hedra, Toxo, Nébeda e Xesta Mural

With its English title, ‘Reforesting Chestnut, Ivy, Gorse, Mountain Mint and Broom’, this painted mural depicts native vegetation through a composition from botanical elements of representative plants growing naturally in this geographical area.
This design seeks to symbolically portray the importance of nature, forests and all the diversity of the plant world in our ecosystem. The representation of different plant parts, their suspended composition and proposed colours are intended to convey harmony and warmth, thus contributing to transforming the space and rendering it more habitable.
Artwork by Doa Oa in 2022, commissioned through the Pacto Pola Paisaxe na Ribeira Sacra.

Visitors will also find the mural known as A Pulpeira (The Octopus Cooker), a homage made by the artistic cooperative Cestola na Cachola to this essential figure in nearly all Galician festivals and celebrations.
