Village of A Seara

The excellent state of preservation of the medieval village, which still has some enviably rustic corners, has meant that in recent years significant restoration work has been done, and continues today, so that many of the houses are undergoing construction work.
The parish church is on the road and from here there are views over the tiled roofs that make this place so enchanting. The church, which has designs from the 14th to the 18th century, still has neoclassical altarpieces inside. The tiny chapel in the atrium that is separate from the architectural whole of the church is typical.
In the village are an inn and a a hostel for mountain climbers. From this population centre, spectacular hiking routes can be taken, such as the one that goes to Mt. Formigueiros and the lake of Lucenza, at the foot of Mt. Pía Paxaro
