Alto do Cerengo Viewpoint

Did you know that this mountain range was always a disputed place that everyone wanted to conquer? Today it is the only area where the province of Lugo crosses the Sil river, or the municipality of A Pobra de Trives crosses the Navea river, creating unnatural borders. The dividing point in Roman Gallaecia between the 3 dominant cities: Bracara Augusta (Braga), Lucus Augusti (Lugo) and Asturica Augusta (Astorga) was in this mountain range.
