Chantada Empanada Festival
As the patron saint festivities draw to a close, the Chantada townsfolk gather under the protective canopy of oak trees to relish some music, wine, and, of course, the empanadas (savoury pies).
Together with the Folión de Carros, the Empanada Festival (Festa da Empanada) is one of the most beloved celebrations among locals in Chantada, where flocks of friends and even entire families will gather at the Carballeira de San Lucas on the last Tuesday of August to partake in a delicious Galician delicacy, the empanada.
