A Peroxa Meat Festival

A Peroxa is known for its important livestock tradition, a tradition that led the locals to revive an ancient Romería a few years ago, which is now known as the Festa da Carne da Peroxa (Peroxa Meat Festival).
Meat is certainly central on the menu, as Ao Caldeiro (cooked with paprika) or Richada (fried with onion), or even in an Empanada (savoury pie). This communal feast brings the entire community together to enjoy these delicacies together.
Date: first or second weekend in June
