Festival of the patron saint of Monforte de Lemos 2018
Monforte de Lemos celebrates its patron saint festivities, where music and street entertainment will be the protagonists during the 6 days that will last.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 11
8:30 p.m.: reading of the proclamation by JULIA OTERO (Plaza del Ayuntamiento)
11:00 p.m.: BLESET concert (Plaza de España)
SUNDAY, AUGUST 12
12:00 p.m.: MONFORTE PIPE GROUP: It will depart from the Plaza de España and will play "alboradas" (tradicional pieces) at the beginning of the festival through different streets of the city. Later, at 1:00 p.m. the "Cabezudos" will leave from the Plaza de España.
1:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.: VI FESTIVAL CÓMICO FESTIVO "A RÚA É VOSA": UXÍA LAMBONA A BANDA MOLONA. Children's music (in Plaza de España)
7:00 p.m.: ARTISTIC FESTIVAL (Paseo do Malecón, Civic-Social Center)
8:30 p.m.: OS XOGRARES DE LEMOS. The group of bagpipes and "pandeireteiras" Os Xograres de Lemos will entertain with a parade on the afternoon from the Plaza de Carude to the center of the city.
12:30 a.m.: concert of CAFÉ QUIJANO (in Plaza de la Compañía)

12:00 p.m.: MONFORTE PIPE GROUP: from the neighborhood of La Estación, the group will play "alboradas" (tradicional pieces)at the beginning of festa by different Caller de Monforte.

12:00 p.m.: MONFORTE PIPE GROUP: from the Plaza de Santo Antonio, the group will play dawn at the start of the festival through different streets of Monforte de Lemos.
12:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.: VI FESTIVAL CÓMICO FESTIVO "A RÚA É VOSA": MAGICIAN CHARLY BRAUN. Magic comedy (in Cardenal Street)
1:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.: VI FESTIVAL CÓMICO FESTIVO "A RÚA É VOSA":- INFONCUNDIBLES: Diábolo, music and circus (in Plaza de España)
8:30 p.m.: PANDEIRETEIRAS. The Cultural Association "Amigos da Pandeireta (traditional instrument of Galicia) de Monforte" will liven up the afternoon of this festive day from the neighborhood of the Station to the center of the city.
11:00 p.m.: LUCÍA PÉREZ concert (in Plaza de la Compañía)
01:00 a.m.: concert of GIN TONI'S (in Plaza de la Compañía)
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, DAY OF THE PATRON

10:00 a.m.: DAY OF THE PATRON. Tribute to the Patron of the Valley of Lemos, the Virgin of Montserrat. (in Plaza de San Antonio)
11:00 a.m.: MASS AND FLORAL OFFERING Á VIRXE DE MONTSERRAT.
11:00 a.m.: ALBORADAS WITH GROUPS OF PIPES - PIPER'S DAY. Groups of bagpipers will leave from the Plaza de España through different streets of the city playing "alboradas" and will conclude in the city center at 1:00 p.m.

The city council also announces that, in addition, at the end of August there will be two other concerts:
· FRIDAY, AUGUST 31: Concert by ROI CASAL, at the Plaza de la Compañía at 22:30 hours
· SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1: Habaneras Festival of the City Council of Monforte de Lemos. They act: corals of Gijón, San Cibrao and the Polifónica Choir of the City council of Monforte de Lemos.
