O Faro Viewpoint

The viewpoint is in a terrace of the building of the company that runs the wind farm, where there is also an unusual, coloured interpretive tile panel created by Jorge Peteiro, a painter from A Coruña.

The Monte do Faro, which was included in the Natura 2000 Network and declared as Special Area of Conservation (SAC), has a unique location. From the top of the mountain, visitors can see land belonging to all four provinces of Galicia.

On the peak is the hermitage of Nosa Senõra do Faro, our Lady of the Lighthouse, to where a long established, popular pilgrimage is made that was already mentioned in the songs of the medieval troubadour Xohán de Requeixo.
