Ribeira Sacra Interpretation Centre
Discover the history of the Ribeira Sacra and of San Pedro de Rocas
The interpretation centre is in the priory building that forms part of the San Pedro de Rocas complex. The exhibition is on two floors: upstairs the traditional occupations of the area are explained, such as knife grinding, distilling, rope making and pottery making, and in another room is a display of winemaking in the Ribeira Sacra.
The ground floor is reserved for an interpretation of the life of the monks in the monastery, the landscape of the Ribeira Sacra and the history of this place.
