"The Irmandiños Revolts" Mural

The ruins of the Castle of A Peroxa are the primary cultural heritage site in the municipality of A Peroxa. This is a structure that suffered the consequences of the Irmandiño revolts, which is the subject depicted in this mural.

The artists created a series of compositions that depict the various stages of this historical event. The colourful and linear style is similar to the illustrations found in medieval illuminated manuscripts, but translated into more contemporary artistic language. This is reflected in the use of intense colours and simple outlines.
