PR-G 274 Ruta do Xanarteiro
The Xanarteiro Route is a linear trail whose officially accredited part runs for 6.75 km. It can be walked as a circular path with a 2.5 km section from Cabo de Vila to the Augas Santas spring.

Starting from the Monastery of Santa María de Ferreira, the path runs along trails through vineyards to the Augas Santas spring. The trail then ascends towards Verdeal, passing the famous building known as the Casa Grande das Bornogueiras before reaching village of A Serpentiña, and then crossing the Carbelo River. The return path passes near Palmelle to Cabo de Vila.
From Cabo de Vila the trail follows a stretch of tarmac and then a dirt path to the Xanarteiro pond before returning to the Augas Santas spring.
