Viewpoint over Cabo do Mundo

You are standing on the north section of the famous Cabo do Mundo meander, which has impressive views over the river Miño and the vineyards of the designation of origin, or DO, of Ribeira Sacra.

From here, you can see the bridge of Portotide, which links the villages of Portotide, in the municipality of O Saviñao, and Pincelo, in the municipality of Chantada. With the construction of the Os Peares dam in the 1950s, all of Portotide and a large part of Pincedo were covered by water. The bridge was raised to its current height, for which extensions were added on both sides, as it was originally only the iron section.
