A Cova River Beach

A Cova beach is the best known bathing area in the district, which makes it a very busy place when the weather is right. The beach is on a curve of the river Miño, making it a quiet place, ideal for bathing while surrounded by a spectacular natural landscape and vineyards.

As well as the beach and swimming, it is possible to enjoy water sports, such as kayaking and paddle surfing; take a trip along the river on a pedalo or hike along the local trails. A restaurant by the beach completes its services.

In the vicinity of the beach you can visit vineyards and wine cellars, impressive lookout points like the Cabo do Mundo, Romanesque churches like San Lourenzo de Fión and San Martiño da Cova, and the Arxeriz Ethnographic Museum.
