Genia Trigo House Museum

The House Museum is dedicated to the memory of Genia Trigo, mother of the renowned painter and sculptor Modesto Trigo Trigo. Here we offer a unique experience with our group gatherings, where visitors can watch Modesto Trigo Trigo paint live and talk with him.
In addition to the talks, the Casa-Museu Gènia Trigo is open to the public for free visits, allowing visitors to explore our exhibitions and collections at their own pace.
Accommodation is also available inside the House Museum, for anyone looking to stay in a unique artistic environment.
It is a perfect environment for fostering a transformative spiritual journey of growth through artistic, scientific and creative expressions. In the humility of this area, we will try to reach out to the whole world in a global village concept, without losing our identity.
It is a small ethnographic museum, where one of the fundamental tasks we carry out is the recovery of the tangible and intangible heritage of the Galician countryside. The ethnographic exhibition comprises pieces that were originally in the house, which are demonstrative of the traces of the history of our ancestors. New items have also been added, courtesy of collaborators in the area.
The project will continue evolving, highlighting nearly forgotten trades, recover voices nearly drowned in our past, and, through the artist's work, have some representative work of him so that the whole valley of Lemos has an echo of this museum.
Spaces for classes, workshops, events and promotional events, with a wide range of activities, including face-to-face workshops with relevant figures from all fields, especially related to culture, health and science.
Rooms for rural tourism, students of these workshops and cultural holiday tourism with half-day classes.
