Conceliñas Bridge

This is a medieval bridge, possibly of Roman origins, as it is on the road to the Ribeira Sacra from the Caldelas area. There are those who claim that it was on the Roman road that crossed the New Road. This bridge and other elements led to synergies in the region that explain the appearance of completely paved roads.
The branch has one arch 6.5 metres high and a span of 12.6 metres. It was built using stone slabs and masonry, and its arch was rebuilt after damage was caused by a serious flood. A consolidation and repair plan has now been approved to ensure that it is preserved.
Hiking route PR-G 177, the River Mao Gorge Route, passes by here. This route is approximately 16 km and also runs along the Mao walkways and to the necropolis of San Vítor de Barxacova.
In the river bed are boulders known as giant’s cauldrons, rock formations caused by small stones and the flowing water eroding the rock.
It´s necessary go on foot 325 metres (5 minutes) from the place where you can park the car to the bridge.
