Carne ao Caldeiro Festival

Meat is the main star of this event, which has been held every April for more than 20 years in Castro de Carballedo.
Locals and visitors partaking in this community feast can look forward to tasting the famous carne ao caldeiro (meat cooked with paprika and oil) and carne richada (meat fried with minced onions).
The day features a range of cultural highlights such as craft exhibitions, local produce vendors selling wine, bread, cheese, etc., and folklore performances.
