The As Pandereteiras Mural

The theme of this mural, Pandereteiras (female musical groups known for their use of tambourines, known as panderetas) is inextricably linked to the community.

Situated in a small bandstand, it emphasizes the festive relationship with the traditional Galician culture. The artist of the work chose the figure of the tambourine players to represent the idea of celebration on the stage of traditional music, as a cultural symbol, as well as to vindicate and make visible the importance of the role of women in rural contexts.

The work is located along the Winter Way of the Camino de Santiago, as it passes through Moreda (Monforte de Lemos).
