Mural "O Chuchamel"

As part of her ‘Reforestanto’ (reforestation) series, the artist has elected the chuchamel (honeysuckle) as the central decorative element on this wall in the centre of Castro Caldelas.

This climbing plant attracts birds and insects while absorbing pollution. Its flowers attract bees and butterflies, hummingbirds and bumblebees. Honeysuckle not only smells lovely, it also has medicinal properties (diuretic, refreshing and sweat-inducing).
