The Cruce de Caminos Murals

The largest mural is a tribute to the monks who lived in San Facundo. It depicts a salient historical feat of this community: ferrying pilgrims in boats after Queen Urraca (the Reckless) ordered the destruction of the bridge of Portomarín in the early 12th century. 

Another wall is covered with a weft based on the structure of an oak leaf as if it were a magnifying glass, depicting abstract shapes that, according to the artists, incite different interpretations: suggesting cracked porcelain, a labyrinth, or even a Galician smallholder farm... Which leaves the meaning open according to the eyes that look at it.
