Murals of Os Peares

In 2016, the Ribeira Sacra Tourism Consortium, in collaboration with the Galicia Tourism Agency, commissioned a series of 9 large-format murals to be painted in the area around the Os Peares train station and Railway Museum, in addition to some other activities for improving the local environment.

The artists Doa Oa, Xoana Almar, and Miguel Peralta were hired to create these works. The central mural, created by Miguel Peralta and entitled "The Swallow Emigrates", has a notably railway-focused theme, while the others are primarily focused on themes related to plants and animals.

In 2020, the A Peroxa Municipal Council added another mural created by the Espazo Lupa artistic collective.
