O Pombar Waterfall

This waterfall is a jewel of nature located on the Quiroga River. It could be described as the little sister of the A Pedriña waterfall.

With the water from the river falling more than 9 metres into a very deep pool, this is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in all of Galicia. During the summer, this fantastic location in the O Courel mountains is a great place to have a swim and relax.

This waterfall can only be reached by walking. From the village of Besarredonda, you can continue for approximately 1.5 kilometres by car, and from there you will follow a trail on foot for another 1 kilometre until reaching the waterfall. USE CAUTION during the winter and during rainy periods. We recommend that you should ask about the condition of the access routes by contacting Quiroga Municipal Hall (982 42 80 01) or the Quiroga Tourism Office (982 435 125).
