Old bridge of Monforte de Lemos
Tradition says it is of Roman origins but all that is known is that it was rebuilt by master craftsman Pedro Rodríguez Remberde at the end of the 16th century.
It has six semicircular arches, two of them blocked up by later alterations. On its broad central arches, a variety of quarry markings can be seen.
On one end is the Museum of Sacred Art of the Clarisa nuns and on the other the entrance to the commercial area of the historic town centre.
From here it is easy to get to the promenades along the banks of the River Cabe.
