"Reforesting: Veronica persica, bird's eye speedwell" Mural

This mural is a botanical composition inspired by the plant Veronica persica, which grows in Ribeira Sacra in wet forests and fields, and also on walls.
This plant’s small size, attractive blue flowers, and unique form of growth that allows it to cover extensive surface areas, are all characteristics that make this beautiful native forest plant unique. This mural is a tribute to a small flower that grows in the forest, to remind us of the importance of appreciating the natural beauty that surrounds us in the places where we live.
This work was created by Doa Oa in 2021, as part of the Ribeira Sacra Landscapes Agreement.
