PR-G 187 O Ferradal Route

This eleven-kilometre linear route leads us through the deep Soldón valley along a stony pathway surrounded by mountains. Its name originates from the trail formerly used to bring minerals down from the mountain mines to the smithies in the area.
This route starts very close to the mouth of the river Soldón, close to the village of the same name. Initially the route is flat, but it soon begins to climb up steeply to points offering views that make all the effort worthwhile. We continue along the Soldón valley, passing through chestnut groves and historical hamlets. After seven kilometres, we cross the river over a small bridge to delve further into this deep, embedded valley. Lastly, after passing under Paradapiñol, we reach Rugando, where our route ends.
Don't miss!
Close to the route, we can find Torrenovaes castle, which is well worth visiting. Additionally, in the nearby village of Bendilló, there is an olive oil mill, allowing us to see how this coveted liquid is traditionally produced.
