Sober Rosca Cake Festival

The oval-shaped rosca is the traditional Sober cake par excellence, but because they are artisan and labour-intense pastries, Rosqueros (rosca bakers) usually only make them to order. This festival is thus a golden opportunity to sample the best.

Either alone or with some regional cheese. This is the traditional way locals in Sober eat this delicacy. On this day, the Sober town council hands out free rosca to all attendees; a perfect opportunity to sample it and also to enjoy other local products from the Ribeira Sacra such as honey, liqueurs...

At recent editions, the town council also included a Wine Tunnel so that visitors could sample the fare of several local bodegas.
