The Ibios of Sober.

In the town hall of Sober they say that after the universal flood some people came up the river Sil.
They came in boats made of chestnut. They anchored at the height of Portabrosmos, in Chanteiro, where they founded the place of Íbia. They were tall and strong people, of brave character and a little bit rude. It is said that they were the descendants of Noé and with them came the first vines planted on this earth.
If you look closely around the area, you can find remains of the wine and oil presses used by the Íbios between the walls that make up the terraces of the current vineyards.
