PR-G 253 is a circular route that begins in the village of O Alcouce in the parish of Moura, which is within the municipality of Nogueira de Ramuín. Soon after starting down this path you will arrive at the A Lampa Viewpoint, where you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over the Sil Canyon and the Monastery of Santo Estevo de Ribas de Sil.

Along its last few kilometres, the route passes through a different landscape, which features unusual granite rock formations that have been given traditional names such as As Codias (The Bread Loaves), Os Penedos de Rufino (Rufino’s Rocks), O Penedo do Trigo (Wheat Head Rock), O Vixiante (The Watchman), and the Pedra Longa (The Long Stone).

"Take OU-536 until you go past the Cachamuiña dam. Then turn onto OU-0507 and follow the signs to arrive in Luíntra. When you get to that town, take the second exit from the roundabout, onto OU-0508, until you arrive at the football pitch in Luíntra. There, turn left in the direction of Moura.

Don't miss!

Just metres away from this route, you can visit the megalithic necropolis at Moura (also known as Mámoas de As Cabanas).
