Village of Arcos

Arcos is a village in the parish of San Pedro de Rocas. It is now almost uninhabited.
In the village you will find centuries-old houses, almost in ruins, built of granite.
Various traditional Galician ethnographic items have been preserved, such as a wash house and several typical granaries (hórreos). The centre of the village is dominated by a large stone threshing floor.
Don't miss!
The village of Arcos has also been the setting for a film entitled Luarada, produced by ZinemusiK. It is based on the true story of Manuel Blanco Romasanta, a local serial killer known as the \"Werewolf\" or \"Tallow Man\". It was directed by Óscar Doviso, who was assisted by the award-winning art director Ángel Amaro, who gave the modern village the appearance of one from the mid-19th century. In the scenes filmed in Arcos, Romasanta arrives accompanied by the local priest, looking for a friend named Andrés Blanco, who gives him some work and a place to stay. He meets the García Blanco family, and one of the sisters, Manuela, becomes curious about this stranger and begins to fall under the spell of his charms.
