Church of Santa María de Marrube

The church was built between the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century. It has a rectangular nave with ashlar walls and a ridged tiled roof.
The door in the façade is flared, with three rounded arch vaults supported on elbow columns with cubic capitals. The sacristy is attached to one of the side walls of the nave. Its bell tower has two openings above a façade with an oculus window. There is a kind of sentry walk on the north wall that makes it look like a fortress.
Inside, the triumphal arch is decorated with plant motifs and there are altarpieces with statues and murals from the 15th century that cover the shallow vault and the vault on which there is the figure of the Saviour and Baby Jesus in the arms of the Virgin Mary, receiving gifts.
