"Jewels of Ribeira Sacra I - Red Pearls" Mural

This was the first mural created in Ribeira Sacra by the well-known artist Mon Devane. It is located on the façade of a building near the San Clodio Riverside Beach.
As in another mural he painted in Quiroga, entitled “Jewels of Ribeira Sacra II - Gold Nugget”, the artist decided to depict one of the most characteristic elements of Ribeira Sacra’s local gastronomy in the form of precious jewels.
In this mural found in Ribas de Sil, the jewels are cherries, because of the local importance of that fruit. In fact, every year there is a Cherry Festival held here in June.
This work was created by Mon Devane in August 2021, as part of the Ribeira Sacra Landscapes Agreement.
Don't miss!
The third work in Mon Devane’s series under the title Joyas de la Ribeira Sacra (Jewels of Ribeira Sacra) is located in the municipality of Taboada, and has been called Joyas de la Ribeira Sacra III - El Roble Milenario (The Ancient Oak).
