Autumn Program in Parada de Sil, 2018
The city council of Parada de Sil has published its special autumn program for this month of November. Different activities around sports and gastronomic products typical of this time of year.
PROGRAMMING
Sunday, November 4
Mycological Days, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in A Fábrica de la Luz. The program of the day with the mushrooms as protagonists will begin at 10 in the morning with the presentation and initiation into the world of mushrooms through the microscope. From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. there will be an exit to the mountain for the harvest and identification of mushrooms; between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. a lunch with mushroom-based menu is planned, while the afternoon session will be dedicated to the recognition and classification of mushrooms through the microscope.

VII Fiesta de la Pisa in the village of Purdeus (Chandrexa). The program will start at 11:30 a.m. with the recreation of the Pisa de la Castaña, a traditional process for the preparation of dried chestnuts, in which anyone who wishes can participate. After this demonstration, there will be a popular lunch of the chestnut, which will be served fabada, veal stewed with chestnuts, assorted desserts, bread, drink and coffee, for a price of 15 euros per person. At the same time, the seventh edition of the Local Products Fair will be held, with exhibition and sale stands for local products: wines, beers, jams, cheese, bread, bica, etc.

During all the weekends of the month it will be possible to taste menus with chestnut in all the restaurants of the town hall of Parada.
