Festivities in Chantada 2018
The town of Chantada presents one of the most complete cultural programs for this summer. The prelude to the Saint Patron Festivities is the International Chantada Film Week (August 13 to 17) and the Maruxa Villanueva Popular Theater Festival (August 20 to 23).
The 'Folión de Carros' is the star of the festive program and the most anticipated event of each August in Chantada. Declared as a Festival of Tourist Interest of Galicia, each year attracts numerous visitors who come to see the show: an event full of nostalgia, humor and respect for popular ethnography; a representation of traditional crafts on carts pulled by oxen and cows.
