Vilachá Wine Fair

The Feira do Viño de Vilachá is substantially distinctive among the other Ribeira Sacra wine fairs, as it is held in the unique and unparalleled century-old Vilachá Bodegas.

This celebration also retains its special family dimension, as local harvesters and small wineries present their own wines for tasting.

During the first or second weekend of May, residents of A Pobra do Brollón and visitors meet in Vilachá (the only riverbank on the Sil side of the municipality) for a celebration along with the rhythms of numerous folkloric groups, brass bands and, of course, the most delicious food the community has to offer.

Some of the more recent editions of the Wine Fair have incorporated new features such as popular voting, professional jury voting, complementary activities to the wine tastings or the presence of other Ribeira Sacra wineries that have vineyards on the banks of Vilachá.
